David Stitt, 63, of Hamburg, died on November 5, 2017, while held at the Erie County Correctional Facility in Alden, New York. The Erie County Sheriff's Office said he collapsed in the common area of his housing unit with an apparent cardiac event and was pronounced dead at Erie County Medical Center.
