David Silva
David Silva, 46, from Maine, died on December 12, 2024, at a hospital after being held at Northern State Prison in Newark, New Jersey. According to the New Jersey Attorney General's Office, he had an encounter with correctional officers at the prison on December 3, nine days before his death. The office's Office of Public Integrity and Accountability is investigating, and the officers involved have not been named. The office has not announced a cause of death.
