David Scott Elliott, 61, of Georgetown, was held at the Washington County Jail in Salem, Indiana, when he was found unresponsive in his bunk, according to WTHR. He was pronounced dead at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Salem on January 11, 2026. Indiana State Police are investigating and said they do not suspect foul play. An autopsy was scheduled, and the cause and manner of his death were pending.
