David Ruben Green III
David Ruben Green III, 30, died on October 29, 2025, at Scotland Correctional Institution in Laurinburg, North Carolina. The sources say he was seen fighting with others in his cellblock, and correctional officers broke up the fight, after which he collapsed. Staff performed emergency procedures and EMS pronounced him dead. Law enforcement, the state medical examiner and the state Department of Adult Correction are investigating the cause and manner of death, which are pending, and no one has been charged.
