David Munday
David Munday died on June 12, 2015, while held at Mount Olive Correctional Complex, a maximum security men's prison in Mount Olive, West Virginia. The state's spokesman, Lawrence Messina of the Department of Military Affairs and Public Safety, said Munday assaulted a staff member, was subdued and restrained by other personnel, then had a medical episode and was taken to a medical unit, where he died. Messina's account is the official claim, and the cause and manner of death are listed as pending. An internal investigation was underway, and State Police were reported to be investigating as well.
