David Mark Decoteau
David Mark Decoteau, 27, of Augusta, died while held at the Charles B. Webster Detention Center in Richmond County, Georgia. The Richmond County Sheriff's Office said he was found unresponsive in his cell and pronounced dead at Wellstar MCG Health early on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. The sheriff's office said he had been housed alone for his protection and checked on routinely before he was found. No cause of death has been announced, an autopsy has been scheduled, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating the cause and manner of his death.
