David Leonard Owens
David Leonard Owens, 64, of Crandall, died while held at the Murray County Jail in Georgia in April 2013. Earlier that day he complained of stomach problems and had seen a nurse a couple of times, according to news reports. Sheriff's office Capt. John Cherry said jail officials were arranging to take him to a hospital, and an ambulance was called as his condition worsened, but he had died before it arrived. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is reviewing the death, and its initial indication was that nothing appeared suspicious.
