David Lamoreaux died on October 4, 2014, at the State Correctional Institution at Rockview in Centre County, Pennsylvania, where he was held in the custody of the state prison system. Centre County Coroner Scott Sayers said he died of cancer. The state Department of Corrections also reported his death.
