Died in prison
David Kirby
David Kirby, 38, died on the evening of Sunday, September 24, 2017, at the Eastern Oregon Correctional Institution in Pendleton, where he was held. The Oregon Department of Corrections said staff found him unresponsive in his housing unit and that medics tried to save him, and KVAL reported he was pronounced dead at 9:14 p.m. The cause and manner of his death are still pending, and the Oregon State Police Criminal Investigation Division is investigating how he died.
