David Johnson
David Johnson, 61, died on February 2, 2017, on a prison transport bus that had stopped at Ross Correctional Institution in Ohio. The Ross County Coroner's Office is investigating his death as a possible homicide. Ross County Prosecutor Matt Schmidt said another man on the bus was the focus of the investigation, though no one had been charged when the Chillicothe Gazette reported on it. A later WHIO TV report said another man had been sentenced in connection with the death and that David Johnson had been strangled and beaten on the bus. Investigators were still working out which people held in the same compartment had been involved.
