David Elliot
David Elliot, 61, of Georgetown, Indiana, died on January 11, 2026, after he was found unresponsive in his bunk at the Washington County Jail in Salem. Jail officers gave him first aid and requested an ambulance, and he was pronounced dead at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Salem. The Indiana State Police, who are investigating, said they do not suspect foul play and that an autopsy was scheduled. The cause and manner of death have not yet been determined.
