David Allen Schultz
David Allen Schultz, 34, of Sheldon, Illinois, was held at the Newton County Jail in Kentland, Indiana. Jail officials said he strangled himself in his cell on the evening of July 19, 2012, and that other people held at the jail alerted staff. He was flown to St. Francis Hospital in Peoria, Illinois, where he died on July 20, 2012. The death was classified as a suicide, and a detective was assigned to investigate.
