Darryl Valadez
Darryl Valadez, 61, died on December 9, 2025, at a hospital in San Antonio, Texas. Police said he had a medical episode while being taken into the Bexar County Adult Detention Center and lost his pulse several times before he was pronounced dead. KABB reported that the episode happened during a transfer at the Justice Intake and Assessment Annex, that EMS took him to hospital, and that he died there before being booked, so accounts differ on where he was being held. The San Antonio Police Department and the Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office have not stated a cause or manner of death. KSAT has requested custody video from police, which has not been released.
