Darryl Arnold
Darryl Arnold, 41, was close to his mother, Mary Arnold, and his twin brother, Darrick Arnold, and his family said they spoke with him on a daily basis. He was held at the Norfolk City Jail in Norfolk, Virginia, and the Norfolk Sheriff's Office said he was moved to the jail's medical ward, taken to a hospital, and died there on March 8, 2024. The sheriff's office attributed his death to bacterial meningitis. His family said he told jail staff he had chills, vomiting and shortness of breath, and that they learned from the health department that he had the illness.
