Darrion Dashawn Williams
Darrion Dashawn Williams, 24, died on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the W.C. "Dub" Brassell Adult Detention Center in Jefferson County, where he was held. According to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, he died after an altercation broke out among several people held at the jail and he was stabbed with foreign objects. The sheriff's office said staff and first responders tried to save him, and that another man held there also died. The sheriff's office said the death is under an active criminal investigation and that at least two other people believed to be involved are being interviewed. Sheriff Lafayette Woods Jr. extended condolences to his family, and command staff and the facility chaplain met with them.
