Darrell Griffin
Darrell Griffin died on June 19, 2024, while held at the Chesapeake Correctional Center in Chesapeake, Virginia. The Chesapeake Sheriff's Department said that staff found him unresponsive in his cell during security rounds and that medics could not revive him. The sheriff's department cited an apparent medical emergency as the cause of death, and the Chesapeake Police Department is investigating while the medical examiner determines the official cause and manner of death.
