Darius M. Rawls
Darius Rawls, 20, of Charleroi, was found hanging in his cell at the Washington County Jail on Thursday, October 15, 2015, and was pronounced dead about an hour later. He had been held at the jail since early September. According to the Washington County coroner, Tim Warco, the death was a suicide, with hanging from a bed sheet in his cell cited as the cause. The coroner had not yet ruled on the manner of death, pending toxicology and other tests, and city police, county and possibly state police were involved in investigating.
