Darin Crawford
Darin Crawford, 57, died in February 2025 while in the custody of the Shelby County Sheriff's Office in Memphis, Tennessee. His sister, Lisa Crawford, spoke at a rally outside the jail about the family's loss and said the recent deaths of other people held there brought back the pain of losing him. The Shelby County Sheriff's Office said an autopsy report attributed his death to pneumonia. Lisa Crawford's account of the deaths at the jail is her own.
