Danny Q. James
Danny James, 40, was held at the Duval County jail in Jacksonville, Florida, when he died on a Thursday morning in early August 2023. His sister-in-law told News4JAX that he had not been sick lately. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said he was found in medical distress and called it a potential medical episode, saying it was not the result of contact with another person held there or with a correctional officer. The medical cause of death had not been publicly released, and no autopsy results were available at the time of the reports.
