Danny Joe Beck, Jr.
Danny Beck, 36, died on April 21, 2022, while held at SCI Greene in Franklin Township, Greene County, Pennsylvania, in the custody of the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections. He was found dead in his cell early that Thursday morning, and prison staff contacted state police, who began an investigation. A Department of Corrections press release said the death was under investigation, and the Greene County Coroner had not yet ruled on the cause. A state dashboard of deaths in custody lists the manner of death as suicide, a classification the coroner had not yet made when the Observer-Reporter published its account.
