Daniel Walton
Daniel Walton, 23, died on December 5, 2020, after being held at the Douglas County Department of Corrections in Omaha, Nebraska. According to the department's director, Mike Myers, he was found unresponsive in his cell that evening, and corrections staff and Omaha Fire Department members tried to save him before he was taken to Nebraska Medicine, where he died. Myers said the manner of death is pending and that state law requires a grand jury investigation before the department will comment further. No cause of death has been given.
