Daniel Jeremiah Chamberlain
Daniel Jeremiah Chamberlain, 25, died on January 12, 2013 while held at the Wilbarger County Jail in Texas, according to the Texas Office of the Attorney General's custodial death report. Sheriff Larry Lee told Newschannel 6 that Chamberlain hanged himself in his cell with a bed sheet sometime that Saturday and was found around 8 p.m., and that a note he left apologized to jail staff. The sheriff said it was the first suicide at the jail since it opened 19 years ago. The sheriff's account is the only one on how he died, and no account from his family has been reported.
