Daniel Burns
Daniel Burns, 60, was held in the medical unit of the Saginaw County Jail in Michigan. Undersheriff Mike Gomez said a corrections officer found him unresponsive during a vitals check. The sheriff's office said Burns had gone quiet after talking with staff, and he was pronounced dead on September 16, 2023. Sheriff Bill Federspiel, citing an autopsy, later said he died of a heart attack and that investigators do not link his death to another death at the jail that weekend.
