Daniel Banks
Daniel Banks died on Saturday, March 17, 2018, while held in the booking area of South Central Regional Jail in Charleston, West Virginia. Larry Messina, communications director for the West Virginia Department of Military Affairs and Public Safety, described his death as an apparent medical episode, and said he was taken back to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. Earlier that weekend, deputies found signs of an overdose and needed multiple doses of Narcan to revive him, after which he was treated at a hospital before being taken to the jail.
