Daniel A. Staggs
Daniel A. Staggs, 40, of Genesee County, was stabbed in the chest in cell block 4 at Southern Michigan Prison in Jackson in July 1986, where he was held. State police investigated at the time but had no suspects. In December 2010, fellow prisoner Anthony Guy Walker admitted to the killing, according to The Daily Telegram, and the Associated Press later reported that Walker would not be charged.
