Died in jail or a lockup
Dan Fallis
Dan Fallis, 30, of Chico, died at the Butte County Jail in the early morning of April 14, 2021. According to the Butte County Sheriff's Office, a correctional deputy found him having a medical issue during safety checks, and jail medical staff and paramedics tried to revive him but could not. Investigators said they do not believe he died by suicide. The cause and manner of death are pending an autopsy by the Sacramento County Coroner's Office, and the sheriff's office and district attorney are investigating.
