Damon Marichalar, 36, died on Sunday, December 6, 2015, while held at the Tehama County Jail in Red Bluff, California. According to the Tehama County Sheriff's Department, he was found hanging from bed sheets in the men's housing unit that evening. He was pronounced dead at 10:13 p.m. after Red Bluff Fire personnel took over his care. The sheriff's department said the death is being investigated as a suicide, and an autopsy was scheduled.
