Damien Jermaine Jones
Damien Jermaine Jones, 28, became ill while in custody at Estill Correction Institution in Hampton County, South Carolina. According to Hampton County Coroner Gordon Rhoden, Damien was being rushed to a hospital for treatment on the night of Thursday, October 11, 2007, and died on the way. Rhoden said a preliminary autopsy found natural causes and no signs of trauma, with lab results still pending. Representatives of the prison did not return phone calls seeking comment.
