Da’Marious McClain
Da'Marious McClain, 19, died on July 24, 2023, while held at the Wake County Detention Center in North Carolina. The Wake County Sheriff's Office said detention officers found him unresponsive in his cell during rounds. The sheriff's office later said he died of a drug overdose and asked the State Bureau of Investigation to review the death, and it said it was also conducting an internal investigation.
