Dale Viers
Dale Viers, 58, died on December 20, 2020, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, where he had been taken from the Iowa State Penitentiary as his medical condition worsened. The Iowa Department of Corrections said he died of complications from COVID-19 and pre-existing medical conditions. The department said his death was the 13th COVID-19 death among people in its custody.
