Dale Hausner
Dale Hausner, 40, died on June 19, 2013, while held at the Eyman state prison complex in Florence, Arizona. He was found unresponsive in his cell and pronounced dead at a hospital about an hour later. The Arizona Department of Corrections initially said the cause of death was unknown and under investigation. The Pinal County Medical Examiner's Office later ruled the death a suicide from amitriptyline intoxication. A state prison investigation found that another prisoner had been giving him antidepressant pills over about two months, sometimes saving them rather than handing them over, and that Hausner may have stockpiled more than 56 tablets; that prisoner said he believed Hausner was taking the pills as he received them.
