Dakota Embry, 24, died in his cell at the Wood County jail in northwest Ohio on the night of June 2, 2023, the same day he had been taken back into custody. Deputies and paramedics attempted CPR before he was pronounced dead. Wood County Sheriff Mark Wasylyshyn said there were no signs of foul play. No cause of death has been released, and the Lucas County Coroner's Office is handling the investigation.
