D. T. Fairly
D. T. Fairly was held in the jail at Leaksville, Greene County, Mississippi, when a mob took him from the jail and shot him, according to a June 1885 editorial in The Grenada Sentinel. The editorial places the killing several days before its publication but gives no exact date.
Cause of death, as reported: Taken from custody and lynched. A Mississippi newspaper editorial says a mob took D. T. Fairly from the Leaksville jail and shot him.
