Curtis Leroy Hammond
Curtis Leroy Hammond, 44, was held at the Columbia County Detention Center in Georgia. According to the Columbia County Sheriff's Department, a deputy jailer found him unresponsive in his bunk around 5:30 a.m. on September 25, 2019, and he was pronounced dead at 5:40 a.m. The coroner is investigating and has said foul play is not suspected, and an autopsy was expected to establish the cause and manner of death.
