Curley Charles Anderson Jr.
Curley Charles Anderson Jr., 58, was held at the Shawnee County Adult Detention Center in Topeka, Kansas, in October 2021. According to the Shawnee County Department of Corrections, jail staff were alerted to a medical emergency on a Monday afternoon, and he was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead on October 18, 2021. The Department of Corrections has not given a cause or manner of death, which remain pending. An internal investigation and a Kansas Bureau of Investigation inquiry are underway.
