Cuibreath

Cuibreath was held in the Edgefield jail in South Carolina when a mob took him from the jail and killed him, around 1885, according to a recollection printed in The Watchman And Southron in 1904. The 1904 account says some members of the mob were later indicted and that the group included men of prominence.

Cause of death, as reported: Taken from custody and lynched. A 1904 newspaper recollection says a mob took Cuibreath from the Edgefield jail and killed him around 1885.
