Crystal Guthrie
Crystal Guthrie, 43, died on December 21, 2020, while held at Anson Correctional Institution in Polkton, North Carolina. The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction's records list her death in its custody. WBTV reported that she had tested positive for COVID-19 in late November, had been hospitalized, and died at the prison, where she had underlying health conditions. Prison officials, through Commissioner Todd Ishee, called her death tragic and said they would not identify her further to protect her family's privacy.
