Cristitan David Sarmiento
Cristitan David Sarmiento, 35, died on September 12, 2019, while held at the Liberty County Jail in Texas. According to the Liberty County Sheriff's Office, he was found hanging by a bed sheet in his cell, and jail staff called an ambulance. He was pronounced dead at Liberty/Dayton Regional Hospital, the sheriff's office said. The sheriff's office said the Texas Rangers would take over the investigation, which was in its early stages.
