Criss Edgar "Tra" Hollins III was 22 years old, and his family in Florence, Alabama, had already lost a child before him: his sister Brooklyn was killed in 2012. On June 3, 2017, after a traffic stop in Florence, he was brought to the Lauderdale County Detention Center. Within about five minutes, a nurse said he needed to go to a hospital, and he died there before 4 a.m. The sheriff's office said it was investigating and an autopsy was pending, and his family gathered to remember him at visitation and services in Florence.
