Coulter
Coulter was one of three men held in the jail at Terra Amarilla, Colorado, when a mob took them from the jail on Wednesday night, October 26, 1881, and lynched them. The Daily Republican, published October 29, 1881, reported the killings. The account given here does not describe how the mob got into the jail.
Cause of death, as reported: Taken from custody and lynched. The Daily Republican reports that a mob took Coulter from the jail at Terra Amarilla and lynched him.
