Cory Long
Cory Long, 29, was a Joliet resident. He was held at the Will County Jail in June 2023, posted bond on June 16, and was released. Joliet police had used a Taser on him during an arrest on June 11, and he died at Silver Cross Hospital on June 24, less than two weeks later. Will County Coroner Laurie Summers said the cause and manner of death will be determined once police, medical and toxicology reports are complete, so the manner is still pending.
