Died in jail or a lockup
Cory L. Williams
Cory L. Williams, 55, of Lafayette, died at the Tippecanoe County Jail, where they were being held before trial, on September 14, 2024. Jail staff called EMS and began medical aid after finding Williams unresponsive in the afternoon, but the coroner pronounced them dead at the jail. Indiana State Police investigated at the sheriff's office's request, and police and the coroner said they saw no signs of foul play. An autopsy was scheduled for the following Monday to determine the cause of death.
