Cortez Timley, 33, died on June 21, 2023, while held at the Larned State Correctional Facility in Pawnee County, Kansas, according to a Kansas Department of Corrections media release. The department said the cause of his death is pending. The Kansas Department of Corrections and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation are investigating, and an independent autopsy is expected.
