Cody Livingston
Cody Livingston, 23, had been helping his fiancé, Tanner Moore, move the day before he died, Moore said. Livingston was held at the Hardin County Jail in Texas, where he was found unresponsive in his cell on August 27, 2016, and taken to a hospital, where he died; a state custodial death report gives the date as August 28. The Texas Department of Public Safety said the Texas Rangers are assisting a preliminary inquiry, that it cannot release further details, and it has not stated a cause of death. Moore said he is devastated and believes jail staff were negligent and that Livingston could have been saved.
