Clinton Buchanan
Clinton Buchanan, 57, died inside the Claiborne County Jail on July 9, 2023. Jail Administrator Tim Shrout said Buchanan was found unresponsive, and jail staff said medics responded immediately and that he spoke with medical staff on arrival. An autopsy was ordered. Shrout denied rumors that someone had harmed Buchanan. The Claiborne Progress reported on July 13, 2023 that the cause and manner of death were still pending.
