Clinton Bridges
Clinton Bridges, 40, died on September 14, 2024, while held at St. Clair Correctional Facility in Springville, Alabama. According to the Equal Justice Initiative, he had been on suicide watch in the prison infirmary since September 11 and had told staff to let him die. He refused food and was force-fed, and his weight fell below 100 pounds. The Alabama Department of Corrections reported an overdose, but the autopsy found the cause was inanition, or starvation, and the two accounts conflict.
