Clifford Lawrence Bagley
Clifford Lawrence Bagley died in May 2023 while held at Telfair State Prison in Georgia. The Georgia Department of Corrections initially said it did not know what caused his death. A prison staff member told the Human Rights Coalition of Georgia that officers tased, beat and pepper-sprayed him in his cell and that he died of his injuries. The Appeal reported these accounts in February 2025.
