Clayton Thompson
Clayton Thompson, 45, was a father of five, and his sister, Crystal Thompson, said he was looking forward to coming home, being with his children and rebuilding his life. He died at Trousdale Turner Correctional Center, a Tennessee prison run by the private operator CoreCivic, where staff found him unresponsive in his housing area on the evening of April 11, 2026, and he was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. The Tennessee Department of Correction confirmed that his death is under investigation, and the cause has not been determined. His family says he had recently been placed in protective custody because of threats.
