Clark Nix

Clark Nix was held under the guard of a man who had captured him in Camilla, Georgia, and on November 1, 1891, a mob took him from that guard and lynched him, according to a brief dispatch in The Salt Lake Herald. The Olympia Tribune reported that the mob took him the night before, and a later dispatch giving the town as Camille repeated the account. None of the reports say where he was being held, how the mob reached him, or whether the guard resisted or handed him over.
