Chule Starr
Chule Starr died on October 22, 1894, after being cut with a razor during a fight inside the jail at Tahlequah, Indian Territory. The Griggs Courier reported that another man held at the jail, Eli Levy, got hold of a razor and attacked Starr and a second man, Bob Dalton. The paper said the cut was fatal to Starr. It also reported that Dalton knocked Levy senseless with a chair, fracturing his skull.
Cause of death, as reported: Killed by another person in custody. A brief 1894 newspaper account says fellow prisoner Eli Levy attacked Starr with a razor in the Tahlequah jail, cutting him fatally.
